Position Summary: Business Development Manager (Quebec)
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Sales Execution
- Quebec Market Strategy: Develop and execute a territory growth plan specifically tailored to Quebec’s industrial hubs (Montreal, Bécancour, Saguenay) and Hydro-Québec’s "Demand Response (DR) Option" and "Efficient Solutions" programs.
- Full-Suite Sales: Drive revenue growth across the Edgecom ecosystem, selling DataTrack™ for real-time monitoring, Demand Response for grid revenue, and NeuraCharge™ for BESS/DER optimization.
- Lead Generation: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of high-energy users, including cold storage, mining, pulp and paper, and heavy manufacturing.
Strategic Relationship Management
- Customer Advocacy: Act as a trusted advisor to C-Suite and Energy Managers, helping them navigate Quebec’s evolving energy transition and peak demand challenges.
- Utility Collaboration: Engage with Hydro-Québec and other provincial stakeholders to ensure Edgecom’s solutions stay aligned with new dynamic pricing and energy efficiency pathways.
- Ecosystem Building: Partner with local energy consultants, ESCOs, and equipment providers to create bundled value propositions.
Technical & Financial Consultation
- Business Case Development: Create compelling ROI analyses that demonstrate how Edgecom’s AI tools reduce Global Adjustment-equivalent costs and maximize participation in Quebec’s capacity-sharing initiatives.
- Solution Scoping: Work with the technical team to ensure DataTrack™ and NeuraCharge™ integrations meet the specific SCADA and metering requirements of Quebecois facilities.
Essential Requirements
- Language: Full professional fluency in French and English is mandatory.
- Experience: 5–10+ years of business development or technical sales experience in the Quebec energy or industrial automation sector.
- Regional Expertise: Deep understanding of the Hydro-Québec rate structures (L, M, G rates) and existing provincial energy efficiency programs.
- Industry Network: An established network of contacts within Quebec’s Large C&I sector or renewable energy developer community.
- Tech Savvy: Strong ability to sell "Software as a Service" (SaaS) and IoT hardware solutions; familiarity with BESS or DERMS is a significant asset.
