FPGA Engineer (m/w/d)

We are seeking a skilled and innovative FPGA Engineer to join our team in developing advanced systems for non-destructive material testing in pipeline infrastructure. In this role, you will be designing and implementing high-performance FPGA firmware that powers our cutting-edge inspection tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust FPGA firmware for pipeline inspection robots, including concept creation, top-level architecture, and module design.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, test reports, and research findings.
• Conduct commissioning and testing of electronic components and complete robotic inspection systems.
• Perform design verification through simulation and analysis to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in FPGA development ideally in an industrial environment.
• Proven expertise in VHDL for hardware description and implementation.
• Solid understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) principles and applications.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written); German language skills are a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and similar tools.
• Experience with FPGA development environments; proficiency with the Xilinx tool suite is preferred.
