Mechanical Engineer (m/w/d)
Purpose:
The role of the Mechanical Engineer is to create, calculate and design mechanical components for NDT's non-destructive testing systems, as well as contributing to the innovative optimization of existing systems in terms of costs, handling and operational effectiveness.
- Innovates and develops new approaches in collaboration with other departments.
- Prepares technical drafts and examinations according to product specifications.
- Prepares and calculates detailed solutions incl FEM, fluid dynamic and kinematics analyses.
- Creates engineering documentation such as calculation documents, work instructions and orders.
- Creates and checks technical drawings and bill of materials for production and assembly.
- Compiles information on purchase and production components for the Purchasing Department, provides technical support as required.
- Conducts fundamental investigations in Technology Services and participates in the planning and design of tests and test equipment.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of three years' experience in designing mechanical components is required.
- Experience in finite element method (FEM) calculation is required and simulation of fluid dynamics is a plus.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and German is essential.
- Proficient in Solidworks or other 3D drawing programs.
