Purpose
The goal of the Electronics Technician is to assemble, maintain, repair, update, and test, complex problems and technologies related to electrical components of the inspection tools modules and other equipment to keep the tool fleet operational. At this level, the job holder is working very independently and with little guidance from others.
Responsibilities
- Repairs, maintain and assembles complex inspection tool components (base modules, sensor carriers, etc.)
- Modifies and reworks complex inspection tool components according to Engineer Change Orders
- Performs and judges complex functional tests of components and issues approvals for system logs
- Provides project support and feedback for new designs
- Supports and leads failure diagnosis
- Supports and leads troubleshooting of tool inspection builds
Qualifications And Requirements
- Technical degree or certification in electronics or similar
- Minimum of three years of experience in an Electronic Technician environment
- Experience in handling measuring equipment (oscilloscope, various measuring devices)
- General experimental work (laboratory/small-scale testing)
- Certification to operate forklifts and overhead cranes preferred
- Possesses high degree of independence in executing tasks
- Aptitude to learn new technology
- Hands-on approach: Proactively identifies and fills in gaps where needed
- Has experience in creating appropriate documentation and driving continuous improvement processes
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English and Norwegian
