We are looking for a highly experienced Strategic Accounts Manager who is both a 'Hunter' and a 'Farmer'. This role demands a dynamic individual capable of aggressively pursuing new business opportunities (Hunter) while also nurturing and growing existing accounts (Farmer). Based in Ontario, Canada, this position requires daily commuting to our office and is pivotal in expanding our B2B and B2G client base by providing tailored environmental technology SaaS.
- New Business Development (Hunter): Identify and aggressively pursue new business opportunities within the environmental technology landscape. Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and acquire new clients.
- Account Management and Growth (Farmer): Manage and grow existing client relationships, ensuring continued satisfaction and identifying opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling.
- Strategic Planning: Understand clients' business strategies and environmental objectives, aligning our solutions to their needs.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends and opportunities. Utilize insights for strategic business growth.
- Solution Selling: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of our environmental technology products and services to effectively match them with client needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with different teams, including product development, marketing, and customer service, to ensure comprehensive client support and alignment with business objectives.
- Contract Negotiation and Management: Lead and manage contract negotiations, ensuring profitable and sustainable agreements.
- Performance Tracking: Use CRM tools for monitoring and reporting on account performance, identifying growth and improvement areas.
- Industry Engagement: Represent the company at industry events, enhancing our market presence and staying updated on environmental technology advancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Environmental Science, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, with significant experience in the environmental technology sector.
- Proven track record in revenue generation as both a hunter (new business acquisition) and a farmer (account growth and management).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software.
- Willingness to commute daily to the Ontario, Milton office and travel as needed.
