Opportunity
e-Zinc is searching for talented and motivated People & Talent Acquisition Specialist to support and manage HR and people operations while shaping the employee experience and contributing to a strong organizational culture.
Reporting to the VP, People & Culture, you will support all aspects of the HR function, ensuring smooth people operations and championing initiatives that enhance employee engagement. The ideal candidate is professional, builds strong working relationships, open to learning, thrives in an innovative and collaborative work environment, and has a passion for success.
Position Scope and Responsibilities
- Employee Engagement: Collaborate to develop, implement, and monitor programs that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Ownership of the full-cycle recruitment process from posting job openings, sourcing and screening candidates, managing offers and negotiations, and onboarding.
- Performance Management: Manage the 360⁰ Performance Review Cycle twice a year including owning the workplan, managing the online platform and provide training and guidance to leaders.
- Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and provide guidance on workplace issues in line with company policies and best practices.
- Policy and Procedure Management: Assist in the development, review, and updating of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are current, compliant, and effectively communicated.
- Health & Safety: Support to the Health, Safety and Environmental Manager on various HSE initiatives to continue to drive a strong safety culture.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Lead or support DEI initiatives, ensuring that diversity is celebrated, and inclusivity is embedded into the employee experience.
- Compliance, Data and Reporting: Ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations and maintain accurate HR records and documentation for reporting and audit purposes.
- Benefits Administration: Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring the program is effectively communicated to staff.
- HR Analytics: Manage various system and data. Analyze HR metrics and data to inform decision-making, track trends, and identify areas for improvement in people strategies.
- Event Planning: Along with the team, organize and manage company events, from small team-building activities to large-scale gatherings, that foster a sense of community and belonging.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or Certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on employee relations, engagement, recruitment, and people programs.
- Knowledge of HR policies, labour laws, and best practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical, hands-on manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships, handle sensitive situations with empathy, and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing business needs and priorities, and a willingness to take on new challenges as the role evolves.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with data analytics tools. Experience with HR/people platforms is a plus.
- A commitment to professional growth and staying updated on the latest HR trends, tools, and technologies.
