Rantizo is seeking to hire a Sales Development Representative (SDR)

About Rantizo:
Rantizo connects supply and demand for agricultural spray drone services with a turnkey service platform. We enable industry leading drone applicators by selling drones, support, software and training, and our service platform connects demand for acres to be sprayed to local operators. Rantizo operators fly and apply in 30 states, providing qualified, licensed, and insured precision application services. Near term we are using drone spray services to build out a nationwide, on demand, technically savvy labor market. Longer term we are creating the network that puts autonomy to work within agriculture. All those cool ground robots, soil sampling technologies, imagery devices, smart pest traps, etc. are going to need a network to deploy and scale – that is where we come in.

As a title a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for both generating new sales opportunities for our drone hardware, annual subscriptions, and AcreConnect™ software, as well as expanding adoption of services and drones in our current customer base.

  • Proactively prospect and qualify new sales opportunities through strategic outbound calling, emailing, social media campaigns, and other targeted lead generation initiatives
  • Continuously and proactively identify and pursue opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding existing customer accounts through value-added products, services, and subscription renewals
  • Serve as the trusted advisor and primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of key accounts, fostering strong relationships by promptly addressing inquiries, providing consultative guidance, and resolving issues
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations that showcase the full capabilities and value proposition of Rantizo hardware, annual subscriptions, and AcreConnect software platform
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, engineering, and product teams to gain a deep understanding of technical requirements, market trends, and customer needs in order to propose tailored, innovative solutions
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives to refine strategic lead generation campaigns, messaging, and content that resonates with target audiences and differentiates Rantizo in the market
  • Actively engage in industry networks, forums, and dialogue to establish Rantizo as a thought leader, share expertise, and gain valuable insights into emerging trends and customer pain points
  • Contribute to the creation of thought leadership content, training materials, and learning resources for Rantizo's learning management system (LMS) to educate customers and prospects
  • Provide ongoing support, guidance, and best practices to drive successful adoption and maximize utilization of the AcreConnect software platform across the customer base
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records, track key metrics, and analyze data in the CRM system to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Conduct thorough research and build targeted, high-potential prospect lists within the agriculture and drone technology industries, leveraging various data sources and segmentation strategies
  • Effectively qualify inbound leads by engaging in consultative conversations to understand their unique needs, challenges, and determine if Rantizo's offerings are an optimal fit. Attend relevant offline events (shows, etc.) as needed.
  • Continuously stay informed about Rantizo's evolving product portfolio, industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer success stories to position solutions compellingly and address objections

  • Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, or a related field or 3-4+ years relevant work experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, customer success, or a similar role (preferably in the agriculture/drone technology industry)
  • Experience in Crop Protection industry strongly preferred—agronomist, drone or aerial application, familiarity with product label requirements and safe application techniques
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to understand and convey technical product information
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with CRM software and productivity tools
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits and industry events
  • Passion for agriculture- direct experience with growers and retailers preferred
