Demand Generation / Lead Generation / Brand Awareness
DigitalEd is a fully remote work environment. The majority of our team is located in or around Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, but we have team members throughout the UK, United States, Philippines, Brazil and Australia. In terms of work location, we are looking for someone who can work anytime between the PST to EST time zones, across lives either 1) in Canada, excluding Quebec or 2) in the following States in the US: Arizona, Florida, Ohio & Tennessee.

As a SaaS company in the online learning market, we've used our beliefs, values and core pillars of software development to build Möbius, the most innovative and comprehensive learning platform for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
To increase brand awareness and drive lead generation, we're searching for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing team. We’re laser focused on expanding our digital marketing efforts to promote our brand, broadcast our messaging, increase awareness, and ultimately deliver a steady flow of high-quality leads for our sales team to work their magic. The critical factor in this role is to reach and engage potential Möbius customers where they spend their time online, using data-driven tactics to attract, convert, and retain them.
Our ideal candidate leads with curiosity. They are fascinated about the inner workings of website traffic and conversion rates; and they understand the value of data to improve results for all our digital initiatives. They are detail-oriented and inquisitive by nature, with a drive for building campaigns that matter.
Outcomes and Key Responsibilities: What's Expected of You
Digital Marketing Strategy and Execution:
- Email Marketing and Lead Nurturing: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement regular email cadences and nurture campaigns aimed at driving lead engagement and increasing brand awareness.
- Paid Advertising Management: Execute, manage, and monitor paid advertising campaigns across platforms like Google Ads, ensuring optimal performance and ROI.
- Social Media Management: Take ownership of DigitalEd and Möbius brand representation across all social media channels. Create compelling, relevant content including posts, blogs, and videos with a humanistic touch to engage our audience and enhance brand presence.
Website Management and Optimization:
- Website Content Management: Oversee the uploading and updating of content on our WordPress site, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and freshness. Continuously monitor site performance and user experience, making suggestions for improvements in design, navigation, and structure as needed.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Utilize SEO best practices and tools like SEMRush and Google Analytics to optimize website content and improve visibility in search engine results for relevant keywords.
Content Creation and Reporting:
- Content Marketing Support: Assist content contributors in generating high-quality, SEO-rich content across various mediums including webpages, blogs, emails, videos, white-papers, and eBooks to drive engagement and conversions.
- Design and Graphics Creation: Utilize tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite to create visually appealing social media graphics and other graphic assets to complement digital marketing efforts.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and report on performance metrics across all digital channels, including paid, organic, and social. Utilize HubSpot to gather data and insights, and collaborate with the marketing team to assess, review, and refine marketing activities based on the findings.
Measures of Performance: How You Know You're Doing Well
- Website Traffic/Optimization: You can demonstrate the effectiveness of your SEO and website enhancement with increased website traffic and site visibility.
- Lead Generation: Your holistic digital marketing efforts help increase the quantity and quality of inbound leads.
- Data/Analytics: The data you pull, interpret and share help guide our team to develop effective digital marketing campaigns; and you’ll be able to identify and fix drop-off points to optimize lead generation funnels.
Competencies and Experience: The 'Stuff' that Makes You Great at This
- Approximately 2-4 years of hands-on, lived experiences managing digital marketing for a brand. We’re talking exposure to the spectrum of search ranking optimization factors and critical algorithm updates. You have experienced the rollercoaster of running and monitoring ad campaigns and you’ve lived to tell the tale.
- A solid understanding of best practices and how to optimize web content for search engine result pages. You are comfortable navigating web analytics software, keyword tools, and digital advertising platforms.
- The ability to identify emerging trends, insights and strategies to develop new ways to generate leads, increase awareness and improve the performance of all digital marketing activities.
- Experience in HubSpot & Wordpress for managing digital campaigns, lists building, and reporting.
Our newest addition should be self-motivated, curious, and a team player who brings a collaborative attitude. Even more important is your willingness to learn and grow your craft. To be successful in this position, you will also be willing to share your expertise to create successful integrated marketing campaigns. You don't have to hold any digital marketing certifications; we know how quickly the industry changes, but we encourage you to apply if you’re committed to growing as a Digital Marketer.
The Marketing team is small and nimble, all hands work together. We’re looking for someone who can and has before, pivoted with the technological advances over the last few years in the market.
Our projected budget for this role is in the range of $68,000 - $75,000 CDN per year, will access to full benefits and 3 weeks vacation.
