Who is Digital Water?
We are Digital Water Solutions, and we help water utilities and municipalities understand their water systems, extend infrastructure lifespan and reduce water & energy usage (green and clean!). We have some huge goals, and an aggressive growth plan which includes adding new members to our all-star team to help get us there!
What’s this role about?
Our team is lean but rapidly growing. As a BDR you will be on the front lines of our sales process responsible for setting meetings with prospects to build our sales pipeline. Although this would be considered an entry level position, the intent for the role is to lay the foundation for a business development team which will lead you to rapidly grow into a more advanced position within Digital Water in other areas of the sales team (Account Management, Account Executive).
What you will be responsible for:
· Execute regional and account-based lead generation strategies
· Reach out to prospects to convey Digital Water Solutions value proposition
· Be a strategic member of the sales team, responsible for identifying and ultimately creating qualified sales opportunities
· Be the first contact in building relationships with customers
· Collaborate with team members to share, document, and learn from best practices
What you bring:
- You have done some selling in the past and have the ability and desire to become great at technology sales
- You possess positive and energetic phone communication skills, excellent listening skills and strong writing skills
- You have an outgoing, dynamic personality and are always looking for ways to keep improving
- You love to learn and are always hungry for more
- You enjoy connecting with people…online, on the phone and face-to-face
- You have an ability to work independently and prioritize
· You have a passion for technology and becoming an expert in the space
Some “nice to haves”:
- Experience within a high-growth start-up environment
- 1 or more years in any technical sales, business development or similar role
- Experience with HubSpot
- Some post-secondary education
- Experience with Microsoft Office

Digital Water Solutions helps utilities understand what is happening underground in their water distribution system. Our hydrant.AI solution allows utilities to monitor pressure, transient pressure, acoustics, and water temperature through fire hydrants located in the distribution system. Understanding your system allows you to locate leaks and bursts, gain a greater understanding of transient events, improve your model calibration, and manage your assets more effectively.
