Your role as Critical Incident Specialist

Working closely with Myriam Caron, Team Lead, your role will be to provide intervention and coordinate a rapid and effective response to a critical or traumatic incident affecting an organization's employees. What you'll be doing

  • Assess and analyze the needs of organizations regarding critical incident service
  • Coordinate interventions for eligible organizations of Dialogue's Employee Assistance Program
  • Offer interventions to affected employees according to their needs and the situations encountered (e.g. work accident, death of an employee, layoff, etc.)
  • Collaborate closely with the employee's manager or human resources to advise and support the organization in returning to normalcy following a critical incident
  • Ensure rigorous record-keeping, including coordination notes, intervention notes and invoicing of external service providers, email exchanges, etc.
  • Take initiatives to improve service and actively participate in the recruitment of external service providers

We'd love to hear from you if you have

  • A university degree in a field related to health sciences (e.g. psychology, social work, criminology, etc.)
  • Very good knowledge of psychological first aid, acute stress, post-traumatic stress and critical incident/trauma response
  • Full-time (32 hours) or part-time availability (21 hours at least) to work weekdays, with a minimum of two evening shifts (until 9 p.m.), and openness to weekend on-call shifts
  • The ability to perform administrative tasks
  • Comfort with technology

Please note that as we serve customers across Canada, bilingualism is essential for this position. You may be required to communicate in French and English.
