Your role as Events Specialist

Reporting to Elise Plante Barriault, Manager, Brand Marketing, your mandate will be to support the strategy and execution of our internal and external events to build business relationships, generate excitement around our organization, grow sales, and amplify brand awareness.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Coordinating logistics (including room reservations and set-up, communications, audiovisual equipment rental, presentation production, invitation and print material production, food selection) related to our internal and external events
  • Preparing schedules and budgets for events
  • In collaboration with the brand designer, managing the design and production of graphic material related to events
  • Coordinating with internal volunteers, clients, and vendors to establish the requirements for an event, and serve as liaison to senior executives throughout the planning process
  • Planning and facilitating logistics for all internal and external events led by the Marketing team, including contract negotiations, guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, AV equipment, SWAG, and marketing materials
  • Building and maintaining a comprehensive database of industry contacts and vendors
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends, and come to t he table with ideas of new events we can do
  • Working on any other ad hoc projects to support the Marketing team (such as webinars)
  • Travelling about once a month to facilitate our events

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • A degree in public relations, marketing, communications, or a similar field (or any other relevant experience and degree combination)
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with event planning, including trade shows
  • Strong project management skills
  • A creative mind and love strategic planning
  • Ability to work collaboratively on multiple cross-functional projects with different objectives simultaneously
  • An ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to evolving requirements and priorities
  • A great understanding of the Marketing funnel and strategy
