The Opportunity
We're looking for a licensed Real Estate Lawyer in Alberta to join our team.
In this role, you'll handle residential real estate closings facilitated through the Deeded platform — leveraging our technology to deliver a modern, client-friendly experience while maintaining full professional independence.

What You'll Do
- Handle residential real estate transactions including purchases, sales, mortgage refinances, switches, and title transfers for Alberta properties
- Conduct virtual closings with clients using Deeded's secure online platform
- Review and prepare all closing documents, including transfer of land documents, mortgage documentation, and statements of adjustments
- Conduct title searches, review RPRs, and resolve title issues as needed
- Manage trust accounting and ensure compliance with the Law Society of Alberta's rules and regulations
- Communicate clearly and promptly with clients, realtors, lenders, and other stakeholders throughout the closing process
- Ensure all transactions comply with Alberta's Land Titles Act and applicable legislation
What We're Looking For
- Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
- At least 3-4 years of experience in residential real estate law (purchases, sales, refinances, and title transfers)
- Familiarity with Alberta's Land Titles system and SPIN2 searches
- Strong understanding of mortgage documentation and lender requirements
- Excellent communication skills and a client-first approach
- Comfortable with technology and virtual workflows — or eager to learn
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
