The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Freelance Copywriter to help us take our product experience to new heights.

The copywriter works closely with our product, design, and operations team to define and implement our vision of reimagining the experience of real estate transactions.

This is a hands-on design role that will require 8-12 hours per week to start and may increase with specific project needs and sprints/timelines. The work can be done remotely.

Our ideal candidate possesses the following skills, in addition to demonstrable experience:

  • Understanding of context: : Ability to distill complex real estate and legal terms iinto clear and concise copy. Translate legal terminology in a simple and understandable language that effectively communicates the intended message to users
  • Create User-Centered Content: Understanding user personas and tailoring the language, tone, and style to resonate with the target audience.
  • Collaboration with our Designer: Working closely with UX/UI designer to ensure the copy complements the design elements and enhances the overall user experience. Collaborating on interface elements such as buttons, labels, error messages, etc.
  • Microcopy & Interface Messaging: Crafting microcopy—small, impactful bits of text such as button labels, error messages, tooltips, etc.—that guide users and improve usability without overwhelming them.
  • Consistency & Tone of Voice: Maintaining consistency in tone, style, and voice across all touchpoints of the product. Developing and adhering to brand guidelines for written communication.
  • A/B Testing & Optimization: Conducting A/B tests to evaluate the effectiveness of different copy variations and iterating based on user feedback and performance metrics.
  • Contextual Understanding: Crafting content that fits seamlessly within the context of the user journey, understanding where and when certain information should be presented to guide users effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Paying attention to small details that can significantly impact user perception and experience, such as grammar, punctuation, and word choice.
  • Adaptability & Iteration: Being adaptable to changing project requirements and open to iterating on copy based on user feedback, usability testing, and stakeholder input.
  • Empathy & User Advocacy: Having empathy for users and advocating for their needs through the language and messaging used in the product or service.
