What will your typical day look like?

The Global Purpose & Sustainability team is seeking a Senior Manager to activate Deloitte’s Net-Zero by 2040 ambition across the global network. As a Senior Manager, you will execute and monitor the global strategy to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the value chain, lead strategic supplier engagement, and coordinate environmental and climate risk management.

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver impact and shape how Deloitte delivers on one of its most important commitments. You will provide end-to-end support and create momentum to enable business functions and member firms in understanding their carbon footprint, prioritizing decarbonization levers and actions, and turning plans into actionable projects and measurable results. This program runs in a co-delivery model with member firms and global business functions.

Work alongside the Global Sustainability Director, you will align senior stakeholders, strategic suppliers, global functions, and member firms around the following responsibilities:

  • Portfolio governance & planning: Lead the Net-Zero Transition Plan as an integrated portfolio, establishing governance, delivery frameworks, and reporting rhythms.
  • Decarbonization strategy & delivery: Develop and implement science-based roadmaps and transition plans aligned with Deloitte’s goals and international frameworks, including SBTi. Convene technology, operations, procurement, real estate, and strategy teams to agree priorities, clarify ownership, and deliver emissions reduction initiatives globally.
  • Delivery oversight & risk management: Monitor progress, risks, issues, and dependencies; identify gaps and mitigation actions; and escalate issues with clear recommendations.
  • Stakeholder engagement & executive communication: Build trusted relationships with senior leaders across global functions and member firms. Act as a technical advisor and prepare executive and board-level briefings on progress, strategic direction, risks, and trade-offs.
  • Supply chain decarbonization: Partner with Procurement, suppliers, alliance partners, and data providers to develop actionable upstream Scope 3 plans and integrate sustainability into procurement decisions and standards. Lead Tier 1 supplier engagement to secure measurable outcomes, including in-setting co-investments, cloud region and efficiency commitments, and device footprint and circularity improvements.
  • Innovation & continuous improvement: Advise on transformational pilots, including AI for decarbonization. Develop processes and tools for prioritization, project selection, and implementation, with a focus on Deloitte’s technology footprint; benchmark performance against peers and identify high-impact practices.
  • Team leadership: Build and mentor a multidisciplinary team, set clear objectives, and foster accountability, quality, development, and inclusion.
  • Financial management: Manage the program budget and develop business cases for decarbonization investments.
