Use advanced analytics to connect client and market data, uncover signals Leaders cannot yet see and turn complex questions into evidence they can act on.

What will your typical day look like?

Reporting to the Manager, Delivery & Innovation, you will lead data-driven discovery and analytical delivery across the Market Insight portfolio. This role works across MS&I data products—including Voice of Client and our Market Model—to bring a unified, outside-in perspective, connecting client, market and relationship data to test hypotheses and surface patterns, risks and opportunities early enough for Leaders to act.

  • You will translate ambiguous business questions into well-defined analytical approaches—identifying the right datasets, selecting appropriate statistical or predictive methods, validating assumptions and communicating limitations.
  • You will conduct exploratory and advanced analysis, develop models and visualizations, and synthesize quantitative and qualitative evidence into outputs that are clear, credible and actionable.
  • You will build reusable analytical assets, dashboards and self-service tools; apply AI and automation to reduce manual effort; and establish repeatable approaches that improve speed, quality and consistency.
  • You will partner closely with MS&I team members focused on translating outside-in intelligence into strategic choices, providing the integrated evidence and analysis that helps shape where the firm invests, prioritizes and mobilizes growth.

Across these responsibilities, you will bring robust subject-matter expertise and a Leader-centric mindset—understanding the question behind the request, recommending the right analytical approach and delivering evidence Leaders can trust and act on.

Working collaboratively across MS&I, you will take ownership for quality and timely delivery, proactively address risks and continuously improve methods, tools and ways of working. As a peer coach, you will share expertise, review work and strengthen analytical capability across the team.

About the team

Market Sensing & Intelligence sits within the Relationships Office. Our mandate is to bring an outside-in perspective to the decisions that shape the firm’s priorities, investments and growth. We work across three connected lenses—what clients tell us through our Voice of Client program, what the market tells us through our model of size, share and growth, and what our relationships tell us about the strength of those connections.

We are a small team, which means everyone owns something that matters and knows what they are accountable for. We value deep curiosity, a natural ability to connect signals across clients, markets and relationships, and the confidence to turn those connections into clear, evidence-based points of view. We bring a Leader-centric mindset to our work—meeting Leaders where they are, understanding the decisions in front of them and shaping intelligence around what they need to act.

Our ambition is to move from providing insight to influencing action—surfacing the signal, sharpening the decision and shifting the behaviour. As a result, we measure ourselves by what Leaders do differently, not by what we publish. If you like building things that get used, you will like it here.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

  • Strong applied expertise in statistical modelling, predictive analytics, machine learning, hypothesis testing and analytical experimentation, with the judgment to select appropriate methods, validate assumptions and communicate uncertainty.
  • Deep hands-on experience preparing, integrating and analyzing large, complex structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources.
  • Proficiency with analytical languages and tools such as Python, R, SQL and Power BI, with experience applying generative AI or automation to analytics workflows.
  • Experience designing dashboards, data visualizations and self-service analytical products that make complex findings accessible and useful to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to frame ambiguous business questions as analytical problems, define testable hypotheses and communicate findings, methods and limitations clearly to non-technical and senior audiences.
  • Experience integrating client, market, relationship or competitive data to identify cross-cutting patterns, risks and opportunities.
  • Strong analytical quality discipline, including data-quality assessment, methodological documentation, model validation, reproducibility and responsible handling of sensitive information.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in data science, statistics, econometrics, computer science, mathematics, business analytics or a related quantitative field, with five or more years of relevant experience.

Nice to haves

It would be great for you to also have:

  • Experience developing, deploying or governing analytical models and data products in an enterprise environment.
