What will your typical day look like?

Delivery Leadership
• Lead end-to-end design and implementation of Microsoft Fabric-based data platforms (Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake).
• Architect and deliver data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines using Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Spark, and SQL.
• Drive data modeling and optimization across Bronze/Silver/Gold layers.
• Ensure high-quality delivery aligned to performance, scalability, and security expectations.
Technical Expertise
• Provide deep technical leadership across:
o Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Notebooks, Pipelines)
o Azure Data Services (ADLS Gen2, ADF, Synapse, Event Hubs)
o Power BI semantic models and reporting integration
• Guide best practices for CI/CD, DevOps, and environment management in Fabric.
• Support data governance and metadata management integration (e.g., Purview).
Client Engagement
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients on data platform strategy and Fabric adoption.
• Lead architecture discussions, workshops, and solution design sessions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and roadmaps.
Team Leadership
• Manage and mentor a team of data engineers and senior consultants.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and capability building within the Fabric practice.
• Provide oversight on code quality, design patterns, and delivery standards.
Practice Development
• Contribute to development of Fabric accelerators, playbooks, and reusable assets.
• Support proposal development, estimations, and solutioning for new opportunities.
• Stay current with evolving Fabric capabilities and industry trends

About the team

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Manager with deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Azure data platforms to lead the design and delivery of modern, scalable data solutions.
This role will combine hands-on technical leadership, team mentorship, and client engagement, supporting large-scale data modernization and analytics initiatives across industries.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

Required Skills:
• 6–10+ years of experience in data engineering / data platforms
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end data solutions on Azure
• Hands-on experience with:
o Microsoft Fabric (preferred) or Synapse / Databricks equivalents
o PySpark / Spark SQL, T-SQL
o Data pipeline orchestration (ADF / Fabric pipelines)
• Strong experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and large-scale data processing
• Experience leading teams or acting as a technical lead on engagements

Good to have:
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse architecture
• Familiarity with data governance tools (Purview, Collibra, etc.)
• Experience integrating Power BI with enterprise data platforms
• Certifications in Azure Data Engineering or Fabric

Key Attributes:
• Strong client-facing communication and leadership skills
• Ability to operate across hands-on delivery and strategic advisory
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, multi-project environments

The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $175,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
