What will your typical day look like?

The Director, Technology Procurement (Enterprise & Alliance Relationships - Strategic relationships) has ownership of global category strategy development across a group of Technology sub-categories and accountability for negotiating and delivering commercial outcomes with the organization's most strategic suppliers in the (SaaS, Cloud, AI sub-categories).

Responsible for managing a team of Senior Managers executing category strategy and project delivery, acting as a commercial adviser to Technology Groups, VMO’s, Legal, Risk and Finance in complex negotiations with the most senior internal stakeholders and executives at key Technology Suppliers.

Specific responsibliites include:

  • Strategic Supplier Ownership - Serve as the accountable lead from Procurement for certain relationships with top‑tier strategic suppliers
  • Project Execution Deliver strategic contract negotiations - Maintaining a highly collaborative engagement approach, leading negotiating teams to align on contracts that deliver on stated technical and commercial requirements, providing structured financial comparisons and other necessary analyses to help navigate leaders to optimal outcomes.
  • Regular Planning - Participate in annual and frequent planning, lead work assignment and workload balancing in consultation with the Managing Director.
  • Category Strategy Leadership and Delivery - Lead development and execution of master category strategies that generate global cost savings, avoidance and long‑term commercial value. Prioritize strategic Supplier segments, understanding the market and product/solutions roadmaps, supplier licensing and consumption models.
  • Provide Cross‑functional Advisory & Governance - Partner with Technology stakeholders, VMO’s, Legal, Risk and Finance to shape negotiation posture, validate commercial terms, influence changes in direction where appropriate and provide decision support materials to help accelerate decisions.
  • Assisting Senior leaders in navigating policies and processes
  • Manage escalations with Senior Executives, owning threads to resolution or reassignment to another party.
  • Provide Team Leadership & Delivery Management – Manage, coach and develop Senior Managers and procurement leads who run multiple projects and negotiations; ensure consistent delivery quality and ownership across the team and a focus on delivering to KPI’s for team members in scope
  • Provide Data‑driven Insights - Synthesize market intelligence, spend analytics, and financial scenarios into concise decision materials to inform negotiation strategies.Support Continuous Improvement - Recommend process and tool improvements to accelerate negotiation cycles and increase sourcing accuracy.
  • Assist in managing CSAT - Assist global category leadership in managing supplier and internal customer relationships to improve internal client satisfaction

10+ years of relevant experience in Procurement of Technology and related categories

Demonstrated experience building solid relationships, as well as influencing, and collaborating

Experience in managing teams

Project management experience - drafting, communicating and modifying project plans

Experience engaging with executives and senior-level stakeholders to shape and influence decisions

Strong understanding of common sourcing templates, tools, and methodologies as well as understanding of contract terms and implications

Expertise in Technology contract negotiations and relationship management

Knowledge of standard Category strategy execution process

Experience with business case reviews, complex proposal comparison and TCO evaluation

Strong Powerpoint and Excel proficiency

The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $260,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
