What will your typical day look like?

As part of our Deal Transaction & Post Merger Integration Team (DT&PMI) Enterprise Profitability team, you will directly support our Project Managers. Your day-to-day responsibility will be to participate in a project team, quantifying and qualifying both revenue growth and cost reduction opportunities, developing an approach to execute these opportunities and working with clients to ultimately realize the financial benefits. Typically, Senior Consultants are responsible for a workstream, ensuring that the results committed to our clients are delivered on-time. They will support deliverables to achieve results are executed on time, are within budget and are of impeccable quality.

Travel: When engaged in client site-based work expect up to 100%, otherwise a hybrid work environment that includes client, office and home.

Responsibilities:

  • Executing against a discreet project schedule, implementing process improvements, enhancing the tools our clients use to manage their business, and working side-by-side with client leaders to implement a data-driven, proactive approach to daily management
  • Providing input into regular feedback, presentations, critiques, documentation and performance updates to our clients and Deloitte management
  • Collecting and analyzing client operating and financial data from diverse systems and sources and synthesizing the data into practical and actionable insights
  • Collaborating with your project team to identify additional opportunities for our clients and Enterprise Profitability.
  • Participating in the upfront business development proposals and operational analyses to support our client’s business requirements.
  • Compliance with client workplace health and safety regulations.

About the team

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, ambitious, results oriented individual to make a significant contribution to our dynamic and growing DT&PMI. Situated within Strategy, Risk and Transactions (SRT), Mergers & Acquisitions, our team plays a pivotal role as clients transform their businesses. This includes both deal activity as well as Enterprise Profitability work outside of deals. You will participate in operational due diligence and other deal activity from time to time but will focus your efforts on executing engagements around cost reduction, working capital and revenue growth management. An ideal candidate will want to combine their operational management consulting skills with our proven approach and methodologies to drive results for our clients.

In this role, the expected qualifications are:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in operations management consulting or direct equivalent with implementation/operations-based projects where operating cash flow improvements were measured.
  • Fluent in both financial and operational metrics.
  • Ability to travel to client sites and offices across Canada and at times the US as required.
  • Exceptional client relationship skills.
  • Demonstrated performance in consistently meeting or exceeding project deliverables and objectives.
  • Strong command of English with excellent written and oral communication skills for all locations.
  • Strong command of French with excellent written and oral communication skills is required for our Montreal location and an asset for any location.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with client management.
  • Desire and comfort to work directly with cients at all management levels on a daily basis.
  • Strong facilitation and persuasion skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • High level of energy, persistence, and strong desire to achieve results.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (in particular Excel and PowerPoint).

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $106,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
