What will your typical day look like?
A typical day will include meetings with colleagues and clients to scope, frame, execute and deliver reports, insights, advice and impact. This will include research, analysis, report creation, presentations, and delivery. We work with a variety of clients in a range of size and industries including private companies, publicly traded companies, governments, crown corporations, and investors. We also work closely with our colleagues across Deloitte to create customized teams to ensure we have the optimal mix of expertise and experience to deliver a client experience that is exceptional!
As a Manager/Senior Manager, you will:
- Work collaboratively as part of a local, regional and national team of talented advisors,
- Cultivate and maintain valued relationships with clients, colleagues and key contacts,
- Lead team members in executing and preparing client deliverables,
- Compile and provide insights to aid our clients in their decision making,
- Analyze financial data, review accounting and various records
- Identify issues, define symptoms and recommend solutions,
- Employ a structured approach to project management to ensure complete client satisfaction and project profitability,
- Prioritize objectives and conduct project planning, engagement oversight, and reporting,
- Develop your expertise in a specialization and your reputation as a business advisor,
- Contribute to practice growth and development,
- Participate in the development and delivery of training programs,
- Support in the management of budgets, work-in-process, and billings,
- Coach and mentor junior practitioners to their highest potential.
About the team
Deloitte’s Valuation & Modeling team specializes in solving complex business and transaction issues, including analyzing valuation alternatives and recommending solutions. We understand how to quantify and present valuation analyses and conclusions in concert with prevailing accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements for transaction, financing, litigation, strategic management, and compliance purposes.
Our main areas of focus are:
- Business valuations;
- Valuations related to financial statement reporting (business combinations, options);
- Intellectual property valuations for tax and transaction purposes;
- Valuations related to financial statements;
- Goodwill impairment, purchase price allocations, complex securities valuations;
- Mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures;
- Income tax strategies and events;
- Strategic and financial advisory; and
- Financial modeling.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You are someone with:
- Five years of work experience in industry and/or at an accounting firm.
- Demonstrate at least five years of work experience in valuations and modelling practice.
- Demonstrate that you are operating at a Manager level.
- Provide clients with buy-side and sell-side valuation advice including pricing/market analysis, target company valuations, and purchase price allocations.
- Provide valuation support to our audit and tax functions such as impairment analysis, going concern analysis, valuations to support corporate restructuring, and valuations for business combination.
- Lead assignments involving valuation and damages quantification for dispute and litigation purposes, including disputes, loss of opportunity claims, family law and expropriation matters.
- Lead the team in the development of financial models for strategic, FP&A, deal and other purposes.
- Employ a structured approach to project management to ensure complete client satisfaction and project profitability.
- Contribute to practice growth and development.
- Participate in the development and delivery of training programs.
Due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients, bilingualism in French and English is required for this position in Quebec.
Total Rewards
The salary range for the Manager position is $83,000 - $144,000 and $105,000 - $208,000 for the Senior Manager position. The individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
