What will your typical day look like?
As a member of Deloitte's HRT practice, you will work with a dedicated and quickly growing team of Consultants, Managers, Senior Managers and Partners to solve our client's complex Payroll issues. You will play a key role in the delivery of consulting services to the business community, including national and local governments and act as the trusted advisor to the customer. You will also have the opportunity to work on multifunctional teams that bring together the unparalleled breadth and depth of our professional services, truly operating as one Deloitte.
About the team
As a Solution Architect in our HRT practice, you will deliver projects related but not limited to:
- Leading and being responsible for the end-to-end Workday Payroll Implementation.
- Developing and executing strategies to address the key Payroll associated requirements with complex strategic change initiatives (e.g., corporate strategy implementations, new operating model implementations, managing the organizational and talent issues associated with mergers and integrations)
- Developing strategies to manage the people considerations associated with large scale technology implementations (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRMS)
- HR transformation including HR strategy, service delivery, process, technology, and outsourcing advisory.

As a Workday Payroll Solution Architect, your role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining the Workday Payroll Module for a multitude of clients across various industries. You will be responsible for understanding the organization's Payroll processes and requirements and translating them into effective system configurations and solutions within the Workday platform.
Your key responsibilities as a Workday HCM Solution Architect may include:
- System Design: Collaborating with key stakeholders, such as HR leaders, business analysts, and IT teams, to gather requirements and design the Workday HCM system architecture. This involves understanding the organization's HR processes and configuring the system to meet those needs.
- System Implementation: Overseeing the implementation of the Workday Payroll system, including data migration, system integration, and testing. This may involve working closely with developers and other technical teams to ensure a smooth and successful implementation.
- Configuration and Customization: Configuring the Workday system to align with the organization's HR policies, processes, and best practices.
- System Integration: Collaborating with other teams to integrate the Workday HCM system with other HR and business systems, such as payroll and timekeeping. This may involve designing and implementing data interfaces and ensuring data consistency across multiple systems.
- System Maintenance and Support: Providing ongoing support and maintenance for the Workday Payroll module, including troubleshooting issues, performing system upgrades, and implementing new features and enhancements. This may involve working closely with Workday support or consulting teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with HR leaders, managers, and end-users to understand their needs, address their concerns, and provide training and support. This includes conducting workshops, creating training materials, and delivering training sessions to ensure effective system adoption and usage.
- To excel in this role, you should have a deep understanding of Workday Payroll functionality and best practices. You should also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Additionally, staying updated with the latest Workday releases and enhancements is crucial to ensure the system is optimized and aligned with industry best practices.
Other Qualifications
- Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
- Preferably holds a bachelor’s degree or possesses equivalent experience.
- Proficient in both French and English, with bilingual skills being a mandatory requirement.
- Has a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in implementing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Ultimate Software, ADP, Ceridian, or similar applications.
- Demonstrates strong business analysis skills and the capability to gather requirements effectively.
- Exhibits the capacity to quickly grasp and comprehend new technologies through formal instruction and self-directed learning.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $175,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
