What will your typical day look like?

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Delivery Manager to lead and manage our AI delivery team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects, managing resources, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team.

Responsibilities:

Project Delivery Management:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects related to Predictive and Generative AI development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and tasks.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of AI solutions.
  • Identify and, as needed, escalate risks, assumptions, and dependencies, with leadership.

People Management:

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of Predictive and Generative AI business analysts, developers, and SMEs.
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Identify and address skill gaps through training and professional development opportunities.
  • Resolve conflicts and facilitate effective communication within the team.

Capacity Planning:

  • Assess resource requirements for projects and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Monitor and manage the team's workload to ensure optimal utilization of resources.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to balance resource allocation across multiple projects.
  • Anticipate future resource needs and plan for team growth or expansion.

Task Prioritization:

  • Prioritize tasks based on project goals, deadlines, and resource availability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define task priorities and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Communicate task priorities to the team and provide guidance on task execution.
  • Monitor task progress and adjust priorities as needed to meet project deliverables.

About the team

The AI CoE is an internal team within Deloitte Technology Canada. We focus on delivering end-to-end solutions that leverage AI technology including custom built & commercially available products.

You are someone who is/has:

  • 8+ years of proven experience in project delivery management, with some experience in AI delivery.
  • Strong technical background and understanding of AI technologies and methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience in capacity planning and resource management.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $156,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
