What will your typical day look like?

This analyst should have experience working with large data sets, using the Power BI service and a good understanding of Azure SQL databases and data modeling concepts. The candidate will be required to develop reporting that is modern, visually compelling, and backed by design principles. In this interesting and diverse role, you will:

  • Independently develop reports of moderate complexity using Power BI.
  • Apply data modeling concepts to ensure report accuracy and efficiency.
  • Utilize DAX formulas to perform calculations and manipulate data within reports.
  • Implement best practices for data cleansing and transformation.
  • View and transform data in the Azure database using SQL to confirm accuracy and structure.
  • Maintain version control on all reporting using Github.
  • Perform Break/Fix work on existing reports and dashboards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and functionalities.
  • Continuously improve report quality and performance through optimization techniques.
  • Create visually appealing and informative reports using the corporate standard guidelines.
  • Effectively communicate data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with business partners to better understand their requirements and translate them into actionable reports.
  • Proactively keep product managers informed of timeline risks, data issues, and changes in scope using Azure DevOps.
  • Deliver comprehensive support documentation for each reporting asset delivered.
  • Clarify requirements with stakeholders and produce visualization that meets the business need.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years of development experience with strong technical knowledge of Power BI and the Power BI Service.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Strong understanding of data analysis principles and methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of data warehouses and ETL techniques.
  • Knowledge of data modeling concepts.
  • Ability to QA and troubleshoot data.
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering requirements and working directly with users to produce assets that meet.

Preferred

  • Experience with GitHub.

The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $96,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
