What will your typical day look like?

As a Cloud Engineer in Cost Management and Finance, your day could involve:

  • Managing complex projects, drive business requirement gathering, manage scope and client expectations
  • Serving as a technical liaison between the business, project team and developers/testers
  • Designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining modular cloud-based systems while considering the various integration points. Ensure all cloud best practices are adhered to.
  • Designing consistent, extensible, and integrated data access components for the enterprise across distinct data sources and platforms
  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
  • Providing inputs to create Agile user stories based on business requirements
  • Providing technical support for Deloitte OneCloud platform and troubleshoot issues. Create/manage knowledge documents and share lessons learned with team members.
  • Serving as product manager for the FinOps tool
  • Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.
  • Encouraging collaborative efforts and camaraderie with all team members to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
  • Ensuring efficient functioning of cloud resources and processing functions in accordance with security policies and best practices in cloud security.
  • Regularly reviewing existing systems and make recommendations for improvements based on technology enhancements and user requirements/needs.

Qualifications needed for this position are:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience with cloud development using Azure or AWS IaaS and PaaS services.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ hands-on experience in applying and implementing design patterns for product development
  • Experience using an iterative development methodology, process, and tools such as Agile, Scrum, MS ADO, and/or Jira to develop software
  • Extensive experience and understanding of .NET framework development techniques
  • Experience with REST API architecture and development
  • Experience with Angular, Typescript, LESS, ES6, Angular CLI, Angular Material, Bootstrap
  • Exposure to data visualization products such as Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience with .NET Platform, ASP .NET Core, C#, JSON, SignalR
  • Other skills: OOPS Concepts, HTML, HTML 5, CSS, SQL, Performance Tuning
  • Familiar with version control software such as Bitbucket or Git
  • Excellent presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills to earn support of business leaders, technology leaders, colleagues, and vendor representatives.
  • Understanding of FinOps concepts
  • Understanding and experience with Cloud Service Provider consoles

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $156,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
