What will your typical day look like?
With the proliferation of electronic data, companies are finding it increasingly difficult to identify the documents required to comply with regulatory requests, conduct investigations, resolve business disputes and support M&A activity.
As a leading provider of electronic discovery services in Canada, the Discovery team offers a full end-to-end solution for clients, from collection, data processing, web hosting, document review, to the final production of documents. We work on a variety of matters, including civil litigation, arbitration class actions, regulatory inquiries, including responses to Requests For Information (RFIs) and Supplemental Information Requests (SIRs), corporate investigations, diligence, freedom of Information Requests for government organizations.
About the team
Deloitte's Forensic services professionals identify and resolve various types of corporate disputes and irregularities. We also carry out analyses, provide opinions and draft clear, logical reports. We apply a variety of quantitative and qualitative techniques aimed at identifying and analyzing presumed damages stemming from the following cases: business interruptions, broken contracts, negligence, breaches of obligations, intellectual property violations and other similar situations. We quantify actual or potential losses while helping our clients reduce their fraud-related risks, tracing misappropriated funds and resolving business and financial disputes on a fast-track basis.
Our Discovery team members use a robust methodology to enhance the work of our document review teams while minimizing costs. Our discovery processes are supported by state-of the-art technology infrastructure that ensures the proper preservation, collection, identification, review, analysis and production of documents. Our goal is to help companies with their complete discovery needs, so that they can get back to business. The team has strong leadership and works closely together sharing knowledge and helping each other learn and excel!
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You are someone with:
- 2-4 years of experience with aspects of electronic discovery
- Case experience in eDiscovery matters
- Litigation support, technological investigations, and eDiscovery
- Solid system administration and infrastructure experience
- Working knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM)
- Working experience with one or more industry leading eDiscovery tools and platforms including Relativity, IPRO, NUIX.
- Scripting experience, including SQL and Python
The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $106,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
