What will your typical day look like?


As a Risk Analyst in the Global Independence Monitoring System (GIMS) Audit team in Central Business Services (CBS), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our firm professionals and partners are compliant with our Independence Policy. You will be performing compliance audits by applying a detailed audit process, reviewing financial interests and relationships of select individual auditees, and assessing compliance with our Independence Policy. You will need strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple assignments. You will also need to be able to effectively communicate with auditees, peers and management to facilitate the audit process. You should be able to display professional skepticism when assessing audit evidence and apply detailed documentation on evidence obtained and the rationale to support your audit conclusions.

About the team


Our focus is helping the Firm succeed in effectively executing our independence compliance program while delivering superior technical and high-quality client service efficiently. We have a diverse, dynamic and established team to perform GIMS audits, advising our professionals and partners on their personal independence requirements through the audit. The overall objective of our team in performing GIMS audits is to ensure compliance with our firm, professional and regulatory requirements and ultimately protecting the Deloitte brand and reputation.
You may be requested to work in other disciplines within CBS Risk depending on business needs.

You are someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or similar
  • Experience in compliance, risk management and/or research (desired)
  • Proven attention to details and accuracy, including the ability to apply defined methodology and framework with your own independent analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a demanding and fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online research with an inquisitive mindset
  • Commitment to quality, ethics and confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in and across teams including virtual teams with different cultures
  • Willingness to work additional and/or flexible hours as required


*Bilingualism in French and English is required for this position due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients and project teams.

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $47,000 - $78,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
