Our Forensics team is growing. We are looking for a Senior Associate or Manager with relevant experience, to join our team.


You will be part of a team carrying out forensic accounting mandates, working closely with clients and counsel on engagements involving investigations, economic loss quantifications and other aspects of complex financial crime investigations and commercial disputes.

What will your typical day look like?

You will be responsible for conducting detailed financial investigations and analyses, identifying irregularities or discrepancies, and providing expert opinions and recommendations based on your findings. You will also play a crucial role in gathering and analyzing financial data, interviewing relevant parties, and preparing reports and presentations to communicate your findings effectively. Additionally, you may be called upon to assist in commercial disputes, where you would analyze financial data to assess the financial impact of certain events or actions. This could involve calculating damages resulting from breach of contract, assessing the value of a business or its assets, or evaluating the financial consequences of a specific event.

In addition our Forensic professionals assist clients in proactively mitigating risks by identifying areas for improvement in their financial crime programs and assisting with implementation of various components.

By leveraging your expertise, you will contribute to the resolution of complex financial crime investigations and commercial disputes, ultimately helping clients and legal counsel make informed decisions based on sound financial analysis.

About the team

Deloitte's team of forensic professionals helps clients react quickly and confidently in a crisis, investigation, or dispute. We advise clients and their counsel on complex and unexpected business disputes, class actions and associated litigation as well as computer forensic and e-discovery matters. Our main areas of focus are:

  • Forensic investigations (fraud, misappropriation of assets)
  • Anti-money laundering
  • Bribery and corruption
  • Computer forensics and e-discovery
  • Corporate commercial disputes
  • Business interruption
  • Class actions
  • Intellectual property infringement
  • Expropriation
  • Remediation

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, business administration, economics or a related field
  • CPA designation in progress or complete
  • Interest in additional specialization recommended (e.g., CFF, CFE) or already complete
  • 2-5 years of experience in forensic accounting
  • Be familiar with IT, including Excel (advanced level), Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant software
  • Strong analytical, research, business thinking and insights
  • Self-discipline, organization, able to set priorities and manage competing demands
  • Excellent computer and analytical skills
  • Superb communication skills: written and oral
  • Adaptable to changing needs
  • Potential eligibility to receive Government of Canada Security Clearance – Secret
  • Ability and comfort with travel, within province, nationally and internationally, as client mandates require


Overall, your role as part of the forensic accounting team will require a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.

The salary range for the Senior Associate position is $58,000 - $106,000 and $83,000 - $144,000 for the Manager position, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
