What will your typical day look like?

 

  • Manage a diverse team of Workplace Service Professionals including delegation, supervision, task management and quality review
  • Responsible for Facilities Management, working with the team to oversee day-to-day activities of maintenance programs, ensuring all elements of infrastructure and assets are maintained
  • Oversee the mailroom, print production, various vendors, and move management
  • Involved with change management, such as build-outs, renovations, operational readiness, sustainability, and occupancy preparation, meeting ISO compliance
  • Develop detailed resourcing and work plans, direct project teams, deliver status, meet deadlines, manage to budget, meet or exceed quality standards
  • Creates an inclusive culture that encourages and recognizes individual and team achievements to promote engagement and retention of top talent, and to foster continuous improvement

About the team

 

The members of the Workplace Services team possess a practical body of knowledge that is applied in the delivery of office support. It includes responsibilities in the areas of facilities, mail/print, catering, and reception. 

The Workplace Services Professionals (WSP) are at the center of our clients and guests’ experience –setting the tone from beginning to end. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Workplace Services, the Manager is accountable for maintaining a high level of service within Facilities Management (FM), managed occupant services and local and regional operations. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced team environment, exercise discretion and diplomacy in all interactions and will be versatile to build strong relationships across the firm.

You are someone who has:   

  • Minimum of 5 years of managerial and operational experience, preferably within a complex professional service work environment
  • Previous experience within office administration and facilities management is an asset
  • Experience that demonstrates excellent customer service, strong communication and coaching, and the ability to organize and prioritize
  • Able to take initiative.  Assertive, confident, and willing to take appropriate and proactive action to accomplish tasks with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and professional demeanor
  • Strong level of knowledge of common industry software, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for continuous learning and growth
  • Bilingualism in French and English is required
  • Ability to travel, and provide after-hours on-call emergency support when required

*Bilingualism in French and English is required for this position due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients and project teams.
