The Indigenous Services team is committed to supporting Indigenous communities as they continuously improve on program delivery and achieving greater returns for their resources.

Many Indigenous communities choose to place funds gained from government or industry settlements into a Trust where they can be protected for future generations while also providing ongoing funding for community programs and benefits on the interest they earn. As an Administrative Trustee, Deloitte partners with communities to help administer the Trust, taking direction from the community Trustees and/or community leadership.

The Trust Lead is a position that manages all aspects of the Trust. This includes interpretation of the Trust Agreement, financial reporting to the Trustees, Chief & Council, and community members, supporting the Trustees through information gathering and interpretation of legal documentation for investment opportunities, supporting the education of Trustees, and organizing Trust meetings. The Trust Lead works closely with a small team who deliver on these engagements.
