What will a typical day look like

The Specialist, Security Services will provide their skills and expertise contributing to the Deloitte Canada People & Physical Security program. Based in Toronto, this team member will actively engage with firm personnel of all levels to provide administrative security and physical access support.


This team member will be required to work closely with a diverse range of internal and external personnel—sponsors, stakeholders, users, technical teams, building security teams, consultants, and integrators—to fulfill the mandate of the Deloitte Security Services organization.


This position will allocate time supporting both national and regional programs. The Specialist will assist with the on-going development and execution of internal initiatives including security and safety awareness, key metrics & reporting, credential management, and technical infrastructure development and maintenance.

About the Team

Based in Toronto and Montreal, the Deloitte Security Services team performs tasks such as internal consulting and advisory, safety and security awareness, national credential management, access reporting, surveillance and monitoring management, system training and support. On a daily basis the team works to ensure the safety and security of Deloitte personnel in offices across Canada.

You are someone who has:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Security Operations administrative or support role in a Corporate Security environment
  • Experience with operation and support of electronic access control and surveillance platforms (preference given to candidates with CCure experience) or access management platform experience
  • The ability to obtain appropriate Provincial and National security clearances relevant to this position
  • Strong written and verbal fluency in English (French language skills a bonus, but not required)
  • The capacity to deal with a fast-paced work environment with rapidly changing work priorities and peak periods
  • Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of firm leadership and staff
  • The ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments concurrently
  • The ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality
  • A positive attitude, flexibility, and resourcefulness to help create and maintain an effective team environment
  • People and physical security experience
