As a Learning Analyst, you will play a key role in guiding D2L customers with creating and implementing a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with their organizational objectives. Leveraging your deep expertise in business intelligence technology and the Brightspace platform, you will work directly with clients to define, design, and implement high-quality data solutions. As a subject matter expert, you will stay up-to-date on the latest tools and capabilities within the Brightspace platform, providing valuable insights and solutions to clients.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Act as a trusted client-advocate within the D2L organization, partnering with assigned clients to design and implement their data strategy using data from Brightspace.
  • Provide consulting services at a business strategy level, understanding and addressing customer needs in relation to their unique data strategy, and design robust solutions utilizing Brightspace Data tools.
  • Utilize your proven track record in working with strategic accounts to provide expert guidance and design solutions that align with client data strategy.
  • Build and nurture relationships with internal customer-facing stakeholders, fostering strong collaboration and effective execution on behalf of clients.
  • Showcase your ability to provide innovative solutions and adapt to meet customer needs, even in challenging or ambiguous situations.
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of client needs, coordinating efforts to provide seamless data solutions.
  • Continuously expand and deepen your working knowledge of D2L solutions, staying up-to-date with the latest features, updates, and best practices.
  • Participate in architectural reviews at customer sites, providing expert insights and recommendations to optimize data solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for pre and post on-site visits, ensuring clear communication and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Record and prioritize data-related issues and requirements, proactively addressing them and advocating for necessary improvements.
  • Occasionally conduct face-to-face meetings with customers, either at a D2L office or client site, to strengthen relationships and provide in-person support.
  • Travel requirements are less than 10% with occasional visits to client sites.

  • Extensive experience inputting data into BI software, creating sophisticated visualizations, and generating comprehensive reports.
  • Ability to work solo, effectively prioritize tasks, and manage your time to meet project deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Proven systematic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions to complex data challenges.

  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries and interpret data effectively.

Suggested Qualifications/Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced technical environment, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering successful data solutions.
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of commercial Business Intelligence Tools such as Domo, PowerBI, Tableau, QuickSight etc., effectively utilizing them to deliver advanced analytics and insights to clients.

The expected base salary range for a new hire in this role is listed below. The annualized base salary offered is determined by each candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, training and experience. It is aligned to ensure both internal and external competitiveness using market data for the geographic location and industry. As part of the total compensation at D2L the role may be eligible for additional benefits including a Wellness Subsidy, Equity Grants, Variable Incentive, and more.

Base Salary Range
$80,000$96,000 CAD
