We are seeking a versatile and technically proficient WordPress Developer to support all aspects of our online presence—from design to deployment—and integrate our website seamlessly with our existing tech stack.
Key Responsibilities:
Feature Design & Implementation:
• Design and implement new features and functionality for our WordPress sites.
• Establish and guide the website’s architecture to ensure scalability and efficiency.
Full-Stack Development:
• Take ownership of both back-end and front-end development, including the use or tweaking of custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Convert comprehensive layouts and wireframes into fully functional HTML pages.
Performance & Optimization:
• Ensure high performance and availability of the website by meeting Google Core Web Vitals benchmarks.
• Optimize site speed, manage performance monitoring, and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.
• Work on hosting-level support to ensure WordPress systems run efficiently.
Responsive & Aesthetic Design:
• Collaborate with design teams to develop effective, responsive designs that translate into engaging, high-quality user interfaces.
• Implement best practices for element arrangements, color schemes, and typography that enhance user experience.
Integration & Technical Support:
• Integrate and optimize the website with the existing tech stack including platforms like Unbounce, Zoho, and HubSpot.
• Work within a WordPress multisite environment and support tools like WP-CLI and database management.
• Diagnose errors quickly, perform WordPress error debugging, and execute site migrations as needed.
Page Builder & SEO:
• Utilize Elementor/Divi page builders to create and optimize pages.
• Ensure the website is SEO-friendly and optimized for search engines, including leveraging best practices in WordPress SEO.
• Familiarity with WAF firewalls and CDNs is a plus.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Technical Proficiency:
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with WordPress development (theme and plugin development) in a multisite environment.
• Strong command of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Proficient in PHP, RESTful API integration, MySQL, and version control (Git).
• Experience using WP-CLI and managing WordPress databases.
• Performance & Troubleshooting:
• Expertise in WordPress performance optimization, error debugging, and rapid troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Proven track record in improving Core Web Vitals and website speed.
• Design & User Interface:
• Experience in responsive design and converting wireframes into high-quality, user-friendly HTML pages.
• A keen eye for aesthetics, including layout, typography, and color choices.
• Integration & Technical Adaptability:
• Ability to integrate WordPress with various platforms (e.g., Unbounce, Zoho, HubSpot) and optimize the existing tech stack.
• Sound knowledge of computer networks and hosting environments supporting WordPress.
• Communication & Collaboration:
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
