Sr QA Engineer

We are looking for a Senior QA with 10+ years of manual testing experience. Experience with BI is preferred. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in testing strategies, automation, and quality processes, along with a strong understanding of modern team topologies and how QA integrates within cross-functional, product-oriented teams.
Major duties and responsibilities include:
- Lead test planning, test design, execution, and reporting for complex systems
- Act as a quality advocate within stream-aligned team, enabling shift-left testing practices
- Analyze business requirements documentation and provide meaningful estimates of QA effort
- Identify and document software testcases that can be covered by tests automation
- Identify and report bugs, with clear, efficient steps to reproduce
- Identify risks early on and efficiently communicate them to the team leaders, developers, and team manager
- Track the progress of defects and work closely with developers to ensure they are fixed in a timely manner
- Ensure quality standards are being met throughout the development cycle
QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Must have a university degree in either computer science, software engineering, or the equivalent work experience
- At least 10 years’ working experience as a software QA specialist
- Previous experience with any of the following is an asset: API testing, Test Automation Tools (Playwright, Postman/Newman, Selenium etc.), Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, Team Topology model and GitLab
- Deep understanding of QA role in Cloud and SaaS type of testing environments
- Strong grasp of testing methodologies for all types of testing (functional, regression, performance, etc.)
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Proven record of leading the quality aspect of a work team, preference in Web and Cloud
- Proven record of collaborating with Product Managers on requirements to create test strategy.
- Proven ability to develop and execute test cases, create bug reports and analyze test results
- Proven record of providing meaningful estimates of testing effort
- Ability to work independently or as a team member
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with bug tracking/test management tools: Jira, TestRail or equivalent
- EHS experience in general would be a plus.
