POSITION SUMMARY:
Cority is looking for a DevOps Engineer to be a part of our existing team. Our organization is a dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. The DevOps Engineer will work collaboratively with software engineering to build, deploy, and monitor our systems. The engineer will also help architect, develop, and implement a secure operating environment for our web, API & microservices based solutions on multiple cloud platforms using industry standard best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive architecture, develop and deliver fully automated multi-account global cloud infrastructure on the cloud while also anticipating and designing for future needs.
  • Drives automation where possible in all DevOps processes.
  • Communicate directly with partner teams to ensure that requirements and specifications are understood.
  • Support continuous delivery pipelines for the deployment to all layers of our SDLC.
  • Monitors and track system, infrastructure, performance, application errors metrics.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze the root cause issues in the platform.
  • Review completed architecture designs or prototypes with team and participates in code reviews.
  • Provide support and maintenance.
  • Open to learning and working with modern technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a university degree in computer science or a related program.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer.
  • Strong understanding architecting, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems on a multi-account cloud platform such as AWS and Azure
  • Experience with Agile & Scrum methodology.
  • Technical Qualifications:
    o Must Have
  • Experience with CI practices and tool chains such as but not limited to dotnet, MSBuild, Java, Maven, Artifactory, Docker.
  • Experience with CD practices and tool chains such as but not limited to GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Ansible, AWS Code Deploy.
  • Experience building and maintaining infrastructures using Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Experience with building and troubleshooting Linux and Windows Docker containers and pipeline runners.
  • Experience with automation scripting in Python, Bash, PowerShell
  • Experience with cloud network and security implementations and management.
  • Experience with AWS services, such as CloudFormation, ECS and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as New Relic, Datadog, ELK Stack.
  • Experience with code quality and security scanning tools, such as SonarCloud, Veracode, Aqua.

  • Experience with Object-Oriented Programming, in C# or python.
  • Experience with Microservices.
  • Experience with Multi-tenancy.
  • Cloud Certifications in AWS or Azure.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Proven passion for technology and can navigate your way across complex and rapidly changing landscapes by staying on top of the latest trends.
  • A self-starter who actively challenges the status-quo, is curious and not afraid to ask “why” and “what”.
  • Fantastic communications (written and oral), who thrives on sharing and gaining knowledge.
  • Experience working with remote teams.
