We’re looking for an experienced Lead macOS & Windows System C++ Developer (services/applications/drivers) to help us change the way the world works, with Parallels: anytime, anywhere, any-device productivity. Here, you’ll design and develop cross-platform integration solutions for the Parallels products family.

OS Integration is the department that drives Parallels Desktop exciting and innovative features like Coherence, Shared Clipboard, Drag-and-drop, Shared Folders, Shared Profile, and many smaller features. Most of our efforts are put into Windows on Mac scenarios, we dig deep into those operating systems, providing the most user-experience facing features. However, there are many other essential features we provide for Linux and other operating system integration scenarios as well.

As a Lead OS Integration C++ Developer, you will:

• Design and develop cross-platform integration solutions for Parallels products family
• Work with different teams driving new features
• Help support existing features and improve legacy code base

What YOU bring to the team:

• 4+ years of programming in modern C++
• Understanding OS architecture principles, frameworks, internals
• Understanding of OOP, design patterns
• Strong experience with multithreaded programming aspects
• Experience creating Windows/Linux/macOS services and drivers
• Desire to research and develop cross-platform and platform-tight, cross-architecture, cross-team solutions
• Responsible, self-driven, proactive, result oriented, team player
• Good written and spoken English

The following are not required, but definitely nice to have:

• Objective-C and macOS frameworks (AppKit/Foundation/etc.)
• Linux kernel device drivers
• Linux low-level GUI (X11, Wayland)
• Win32 low-level API (User/GDI/Shell/Winsock/Services/MSI/etc.)
• Windows kernel driver development (Installable File Systems)
• Qt framework: Core, Network, XML, Widgets
• Experience of basic automatic with Python/shell scripts
• Experience in client-server application development
