As an IT Support Engineer, you will:
- Collaborate Globally: Be part of a global IT Support team with members from the USA, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
- Be First Point of Contact: Provide support for our internal customers in Mauritius, the APAC, and the EMEA region, ensuring reliable service.
- Provide Tech Support: Offer support for software, cloud solutions, apps, and hardware both onsite at our office in Ebene and remotely via ticketing systems, MS Teams, and remote desktop sessions.
- Utilize Mobile Device Management: Leverage MDM tools for software deployment and ensure consistent configuration across devices.
- Provide Hardware Management: Install, set up, and provision client hardware, streamlining onboarding and hardware refresh processes.
- User Account and Access Management: Administrate and manage user accounts and permissions in various systems (e.g., Okta, Microsoft Entra, Local Active Directory, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Single Sign-On, VPN).
- Procurement: Purchase client hardware and maintain accurate inventory in the asset management system.
- Drive change: Collaborate on IT infrastructure projects and initiatives to drive innovation.
- Automate Processes: Utilize scripting technologies to add efficiency to operational tasks and minimize manual intervention.
- Knowledge Sharing: Write and maintain internal knowledge base articles and procedures.
What You Bring:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You should have 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Customer Service Orientation: A strong desire to help users efficiently from first contact to resolution, with excellent client-facing and communication skills
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Remote Work Expertise: Experience with remote work environments, including remote control software, VPN solutions, and user guidance.
- Software & OS Knowledge: Experience in the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and management of Windows 11 and macOS.
- Technical Skills: Experience with MDM solutions (Intune and Kandji preferred). You should also have experience with identity management systems (Okta preferred).
- Microsoft 365 Administration: Experience in administering Microsoft 365 (Azure AD, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) through the visual user interface or similar environments.
- Active Directory: Experience in Local Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, and permissions.
- Procurement & Vendor Management: Experience in procurement and vendor management, ensuring efficient acquisition and management of hardware and software.
- Project Contribution: Experience as a contributor in IT projects, showcasing your ability to drive change and innovation.
- Scripting: Familiar with PowerShell commands to make changes to Microsoft Exchange online an other systems
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential.
