About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Benefits Specialist to join our team at Alludo! As a Payroll Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits for our employees. You will work closely with our HR team to ensure compliance with all federal and provincial regulations. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be critical to your success in this role. Ultimately, you will play a key role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time.
Duties:
- Process biweekly payroll within the region of responsibility.
- Review payroll processing system to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions.
- Resolve payroll issues and ensure strict compliance with company, federal and provincial regulations.
- Set up new starters and leavers.
- Review and maintain timekeeping system records and process changes to ensure time records are uploaded accurately and timely.
- All absence management reporting including sickness and holiday tracking as well as end of year processes such as holiday reconciliations.
- Provide Payroll Journal Vouchers to Finance after each pay date.
- Process month-end and quarter-end close procedures. Provide outstanding payroll reports to Finance or appropriate agencies. Provide QTR End Vacation Liability reports for Canada/Brazil.
- Manage year end processes and distribute all tax forms.
- Serve as primary backup for US & Mexico & Taiwan payrolls as needed.
- Act as main point of contact for all payroll queries in Canada & Brazil.
- Collaborate with Finance, Tax Team and HR colleagues on various payroll related queries.
- Keep up to date with payroll best practices and legislative changes.
- Process terminations and Records of Employment (ROEs) in ADP.
- Enter on RBC website and submit the Group RRSP payments biweekly.
- Maintain the Group RRSP contributions and notify RBC of new hires. Terminate employees on the RBC website and assist employees with any Group RRSP inquiries.
- Manage new hire benefit enrollments (Canada Life), terminating employees online and sending conversion documents, and updating employee benefit files as needed. Review monthly invoices and send them for payment.
- Assist employees with any benefit-related questions.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the Canada payroll legislation and requirements
- Work experience of minimum 3 years in the similar position
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) a strong plus

- Strong technical skills, ability to learn new software
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills
- Problem-solving, ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Understanding and application of strict confidentiality
