Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As an Analyst, Commercial Real Estate, you’ll be a key player in driving real estate financing, supporting high-impact lending decisions, and helping build valuable client relationships. Working closely with the Sr. Manager, Commercial Real Estate, you’ll complete annual reviews, prepare loan amendment documentation, assist with loan renewals and assist with the collection of client information and loan facility advances.

This permanent, full-time role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity Community Investment Bank head office location and your Ontario based home office. This role may require you to work in-office at least once a week.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Complete annual reviews accurately and timeously within policy guidelines.
  • Assist with portfolio management through the preparation and submission of Loan Communication Documents and Loan Amendment Letters.
  • Assist with the preparation of loan renewals applications and Loan Renewal Letters accurately, within lending policy and in a timely manner.
  • Support Sr. Manager, Commercial Real Estate in the collection and management of client information requests.
  • Support Sr. Manager, Commercial Real Estate in the funding and loan facility advances processes.
  • From time to time, support new lending opportunities by preparing credit applications.
  • Deliver a high standard of service by responding promptly to work requests and taking initiative.
  • Support additional projects as assigned.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in commercial real estate or commercial lending.
  • Knowledge of the Ontario commercial real estate market, with experience or a strong interest in social-purpose and sustainable real estate.
  • Experience in commercial real estate credit underwriting and/or operations, with demonstrated financial and business analysis skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Business or commercial banking experience is considered an asset.

What You’ll Earn:

This role offers a salary range of $70,000 to $80,000. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
