WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Role:

The Factory Test Systems Lead is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of in‑process and finished liquid cooling products through robust factory testing systems and processes. This role provides technical and people leadership for factory test activities and partners closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, NPI, and Operational Excellence teams to drive continuous improvement, improve first‑pass yield, and support customer satisfaction and company financial targets.

The Factory Test Systems Lead brings strong industrial experience in factory test processes, sensing techniques, signal conditioning, and electromechanical systems, with working knowledge of heat transfer and fluid dynamics. This role plays a critical part in New Product Introduction (NPI) and production ramp readiness.

Responsibilities:

Safety and Compliance

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Model safe behaviors and act as a role model for safety across the factory floor.
  • Ensure appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection, as required.
  • Actively participate in safety training and promptly report hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies when handling electro‑mechanical systems and components.

Quality and Technical Leadership

  • Lead and manage a team of Factory Test Specialists, including coaching, performance management, and capability development.
  • Define, document, and implement in‑process and end‑of‑line factory test requirements for liquid cooling products.
  • Drive factory test readiness during New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Design Engineering, Test & Qualification, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production teams, including participation in DFM discussions.
  • Design and support manufacturing test equipment and test systems.
  • Implement factory test procedures within the CoolIT MES system.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on test coverage, reliability, throughput, and first‑pass yield.

Problem Solving and Process Control

  • Lead root cause investigations for complex yield issues and customer returns using structured problem‑solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis).
  • Define and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) frameworks for critical‑to‑quality (CTQ) parameters.
  • Establish Cp/Cpk capability targets and validate process capability prior to production ramps.
  • Analyze test data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

WHO YOU ARE:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in factory testing within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Academic coursework in testing methodologies, controls, sensing, signal conditioning, or related disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) designation.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language.
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis methods and software such as Minitab.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and drive actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in cross‑functional environments.
  • High attention to detail and a process‑oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced engineering and manufacturing environment.
  • Strong collaboration, problem‑solving, and proactive leadership skills.
