WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Role:

CoolIT Systems, Inc. is seeking a results-oriented HR Business Partner with a minimum of 5 years of progressive HR generalist experience to join our Calgary team.

The primary responsibilities of this role include building strategic partnerships with leaders, overseeing HR initiatives (system analytics, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations), and developing scalable HR solutions. This role also involves enhancing workflows, driving a high-performance culture, delivering impactful HR programs, and utilizing HR metrics. The HR Business Partner will also maintain employee records and stay current on HR best practices and legislation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly adaptable and driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced tech environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving, influencing, and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and provide excellent service.

This is a 12 month contract role.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strategic partnerships with leaders by developing a deep knowledge and understanding of their business drivers, challenges and needs
  • Oversee and manage HR initiatives such as system analytics, onboarding & offboarding, and employee relations
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise as the business grows and determine scalable solutions that arise
  • Develop and implement processes to enhance and automate workflow requirements
  • Identify solutions that drive a high performance culture and use your influencing skills to get buy-in from stakeholders
  • Successfully deliver high impact initiatives, processes, and policies
  • Develop and maintain effective HR metrics to measure and support the HR service delivery model
  • Assist in maintaining employee files in UKG (HRIS), upholding strict confidentiality of company and employee records
  • Stay up to date on any changes within the HR field regarding legislation or best practices

WHO YOU ARE:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary education in human resources, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience in a complex human resources generalist capacity
  • Experience in and knowledge of best practices in generalist HR areas such as Employee and Labour Relations, Talent Management and Organizational Development, Compensation and Total Rewards, Staff Wellness and Disability Management.
  • A combination of HR experience in the following areas: workforce planning, business consultation, organizational design, employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, total rewards organizational effectiveness , and/or employment law
  • Adaptable and a high-achiever who’s energized by a growing Canadian tech company
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced collaborative work environment while managing multiple competing priorities
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and practical application of all applicable human resource legislation, policies and practices. Knowledge of international legislative frameworks and jurisdictions is an asset and is strongly preferred
  • UKG experience is an asset and is strongly preferred
  • Power BI and HR data analytics experience is an asset and is strongly preferred
  • CPHR Designation

  • Ability to build trusted relationships with leaders, understand business drivers, and influence decision-making to drive high-performance outcomes.
