WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Role:
We are seeking a full time Prototyping Specialist to work on the prototypes of our next generation liquid cooling products. Responsibilities included but are not limited to all kinds of machining (CNC and manual mill, manual lathe, water jet and 3D printers, etc) while maintaining company safety and quality expectations.
Reporting to the Senior Lab Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is a hands-on problem solver, loves challenging projects that can require multiple equipment to complete and wants to contribute to the future of scalable computer cooling solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Manufacturing parts using the most appropriate equipment and methods.
- Documenting and reporting any deviations.
- Adhering to quality assurance procedures.
- Maintain safe work practices by adhering to company safety policies.
- Ability to help other departments as needed (within the main buildings or at Innovation Lab, Calgary).
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
Basic Qualifications:
- Post-secondary Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer or Quality Engineer
- Demonstrated experience with AIAG Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience with prototypes and R&D projects.
- Desire to work with prototypes and R&D projects in a fast-paced technology company is a must.
- Mazak CNC and manual equipment experience is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Welding, Brazing, Water Jet, 3D printing or other cross trade experience would be a strong benefit.
- Experience with GibbsCam is an asset.
