IT Operations Administrator

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Role:

We are seeking a versatile and proactive IT Generalist who can support a wide range of technology and business initiatives. This role blends project management, business analysis, and hands-on IT operational support, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats.

The successful candidate will help drive key initiatives forward, support day today IT activities, collaborate with cross functional teams, and ensure that technology solutions align with business needs.

Responsibilities:

Project Management (30–40%)

  • Coordinate and manage small to medium sized IT and business projects from initiation to completion.
  • Build and maintain project plans, schedules, risks, and status updates.
  • Facilitate project meetings, document decisions, and track action items.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities.

Business Analysis (25–30%)

  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements for new systems, enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Conduct workflow and process analysis to identify inefficiencies or improvement opportunities.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements for internal teams or external partners.
  • Support solution evaluation, vendor selection, and proof of concept activities.

IT Operations & Support (20–25%)

  • Provide hands on support for routine IT tasks when required, including user onboarding/offboarding, account management, endpoint troubleshooting, and system configuration.
  • Assist with monitoring, documenting, and maintaining the IT environment.
  • Coordinate with internal IT resources and external vendors to resolve issues.
  • Maintain documentation, inventories, and standard operating procedures.

Strategic & Initiative Support (10–20%)

  • Assist leadership in moving major technology and business initiatives forward.
  • Support the adoption of new tools, applications, and processes across the organization.
  • Track progress across multiple initiatives and identify blockers.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and metrics to support leadership decision-making.

WHO YOU ARE:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in at least two of the following: project management, business analysis, or IT operations.
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with productivity tools such as Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner/Project).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience assisting in IT projects, SaaS implementations, cloud migrations, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices or structured service management approaches.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), endpoint management, and modern workplace tools.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity tools or governance practices.
  • CAPM, PMP, CBAP, or ITIL Certification (nice to have, not required).

Skills:

  • Highly organized, resourceful, and able to manage ambiguity.
  • Comfortable switching between technical tasks, administrative tasks, and project work.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
  • An interest in continuous learning and improving processes.
  • A “get things done” mentality with a collaborative, team first approach.
