WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic individual to join our team as a Project Engineer. As a member of the Professional Services (PFS) team, you will be accountable for the end-to-end activities required to deliver successful data center deployments for our global tier I customers. You will work closely with customers, internal stakeholders, and vendors to ensure the seamless execution of ongoing projects.
Responsibilities:

Manage and lead the full scope of the project from initiation to completion, often handling multiple projects at once. Responsible for larger key customers in the Data Center industry.
- Work alongside with the Professional Services team to develop productized service offerings, engage with Service team during project stages, and collaborate with sales representatives to design and deploy cutting-edge liquid-cooled High-Performance Compute systems.
- Introduce CoolIT’s technology on joint sales calls with server OEM partners, identifying required products and services for successful outcomes, and perform engineering pre-fabrication builds alongside Service team.

Oversee the creation of detailed project schedules, negotiate contracts, manage customer relationships, and proactively address market risks and issues, while measuring and reporting project status and ensuring effective communication within cross-functional teams.
- Lead the design, validation, and delivery of liquid cooling solutions for data centers, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards using thermal and flow engineering tools.
- Act as a technical liaison between Professional Services and other key internal stakeholders to ensure that new products are designed with considerations from a field and serviceability perspective.
- Manage project budget, schedule, and risks, while providing technical expertise and resolving complex issues.

Continuously evaluating project performance, identifying areas for improvement, and driving process changes to enhance project execution in the future.
- Take full ownership of Identifying potential risks to the project (e.g., delays, cost overages) and implementing strategies to mitigate them. Report and escalate to management potential issues and risks as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Applied Science degree in a relevant engineering discipline. 2-3 years recent related experience following professional registration; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Membership or eligibility for immediate membership as a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
- Sound technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and their application in relevant discipline. Ability to act as a resource to staff and provide sound and practical guidance for unusual or problem situations.
- Proven contract administration and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize a series of project components for large complex projects to meet multiple time based deliverables requiring a high level of detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented work environment and deal effectively with disagreements to prevent the escalation of conflict.
- Must be open to travel up to 20% and hold a valid passport to travel internationally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Field engineering experience and/or Data Center related experience from a related field.
- Experience with creating, reviewing and approving 3-D and 2-D mechanical models.
- Experience with Autodesk programs including Revit MEP, Navisworks and Inventor.
- PMP Certification or equivalent would be an asset
- Experience in selling and deploying products in partnership with customers, end-users and other stakeholders seen as an asset.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain respectful working relationships with internal and external contacts.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills. Ability to explain difficult concepts and persuade others to adopt a point of view or way of doing things.
- Ability to resolve problems within established guidelines and procedures; ability to use judgment to determine which methods are applicable in any given situation.
- Proficiency using Microsoft office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
