Role
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
CoolIT Systems, Inc. is hiring a full time Test Technologist – Electromechanical to oversee passive cold-plate loops, components test and qualification activities at CoolIT. You will be responsible for writing test plans and execute test activities. You will also be responsible for designing and development of test fixtures.
Reporting to Test Team Lead (PCL), Corey Tracy, this is an excellent opportunity for an independent and experienced technologist who strives for testing excellence and wants to contribute to the future of scalable computer cooling solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement test plans that will ensure compliance to internal, or customer defined standards.
- Understand hardware and software requirements and design documents to develop comprehensive test strategies and procedures
- Conduct testing (including creep resistance, HALT, temperature stress testing, thermal cycling, mechanical stress testing, etc), troubleshooting, investigation of design defects and perform root cause analysis
- Development of automated test equipment
- Component selection and preparation of bill of materials for electromechanical test systems
- Prepare technical reports and documentation
Who You Are
Basic Qualifications:
- BS or Technical Diploma in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical, or any other relevant field
- A minimum of 3 years of related work experience
- Working knowledge of instrumentation including pressure transducers, temperatures sensors, flow sensors, etc.
- Understanding of ASTM and ISO test standards.
- Working knowledge of RS232, RS485, Modbus, I2C, SNMP, TCP/IP and UDP protocols
- Experience in using bench tools (oscilloscope, power analyzer, logic analyzer, multimer, etc)
- Demonstrated experience in testing and qualifying electro-mechanical parts and systems
- Solid experience in setting up and using DAQ’s, sensors and actuators
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing test plans and test cases
- Knowledge of programming tools such as LabView, Python, C/C++, etc.
- Automation experience
