We are seeking a talented engineering intern to join our Manufacturing Engineering team. We are looking for someone with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude. This role will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead and will be integral to enhancing our manufacturing processes and driving innovation at CoolIT Systems.

We are seeking a talented engineering intern to join our Manufacturing Engineering team. We are looking for someone with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude. This role will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead and will be integral to enhancing our manufacturing processes and driving innovation at CoolIT Systems.

Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing engineering activities associated with defining processes and supporting designing or procuring related equipment and fixtures.
- Support deployment of new process equipment and assist with commissioning of machinery and roll-out exercises for production.
- Support the implementation of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) on the production lines.
- Document work instructions and assist with the development of PFMEAs as well as Quality Control Plans for manufacturing processes.
- Assist in the management of continuous improvement projects.
- Assessment of processes by collection and interpreting measurements/data—participating regularly in continuous improvement activities.
- Application of lean principles to identify, analyze, and improve production KPIs.
- Manufacturing-related capital project management support through different stages, i.e., justification, execution, implementation, and rollout.
- Assist manufacturing/process engineers & production technicians in troubleshooting in the event of a problem.
Basic Qualifications:
- Completion of 3rd year of Bachelors of Science program in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.
- Should return to school after successful completion of their tenure as an intern at CoolIT Systems.
- Must be a Canadian Citizen / Permanent Resident of Canada.
- Understanding of Project Management practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with respect to engineering design.
- Self-motivated and able to work within an interdisciplinary team.
- Proficiency or passion for designing with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent CAD software.
- Be able to express technical concepts to peers and a non-technical audience through proficient verbal and written communication skills.
