What You’ll Do
Role
An exciting and challenging position exists as a Project Manager and Team Lead at CoolIT’s Taiwan office in New Taipei City. In this role you will support the Project Management team and report into the Product department. You will facilitate the execution of key internal and external development projects and ensure the objectives of the PM team in Taiwan are met. Projects may include the development of our Active Coolant Loops (ACLs), Passive Coolant Loops (PCLs), and larger continuous improvement projects. This is a great opportunity for skilled Project Managers with experience in the Advanced Technology sector.

What You’ll Do
Role

In this role you will support the Project Management team and report into the Product department. You will facilitate the execution of key internal and external development projects and ensure the objectives of the PM team in Taiwan are met. Projects may include the development of our Active Coolant Loops (ACLs), Passive Coolant Loops (PCLs), and larger continuous improvement projects. This is a great opportunity for skilled Project Managers with experience in the Advanced Technology sector.
Responsibilities
- Development and maintenance project scope of work, requirements, schedules and budgets
- Management of deliverables for a cross-functional project team of mechanical, electrical, and software designers, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, supply chain, and production
- Monitoring and control of risks, quality deliverables, and project Key Performance Indicators related to schedule, cost, and quality targets
- Lead and manage projects removing any roadblocks that get in the way of execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional product development teams and ensure best practices are followed
- Improve, document, and support training of processes for NPI (New Product Introduction) projects in the APAC (Asia-Pacific) region
- Develop and mentor more junior project managers
- Support company continuous improvement projects as needed
- Measure and report project status using appropriate tools, techniques and metrics
- Use appropriate change management processes in order to minimize and report changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
- Hold regular meetings to ensure team members communicate effectively and ensure that all program risks are identified and managed in a timely fashion
- Communicate project status to management and other stakeholders via presentations and project tracking tools
- May require weekly calls with project teams in the Americas
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years project management experience in hardware product development
- Engineering/Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree
- Some experience managing software and firmware development projects would be considered an asset, with the majority of Project Management experience being in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects related to electromechanical designs
- Experience managing continuous improvement projects in an NPI and Lean Manufacturing environment
- Passionate about new technologies
- A self-motivated individual with a thirst for knowledge that moves fast
- Enjoys and contributes to a collaborative culture where nothing is impossible
- Believes in being an ethical approach to conducting themselves professionally
- Proficiency in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), cloud-based project management tools (especially ClickUp) and ERP systems (especially NetSuite or Oracle)
- Completion of PMP Certification
- Experience functionally managing a team of professionals would be considered an asset
- Good to have the experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
