We have an opportunity for an Engineering Change Coordinator to join our team in Calgary. In this role, you will be pivotal in driving engineering change initiatives within CoolIT Systems. This role ensures seamless transitions from design to manufacturing, facilitates engineering changes effectively and maintains documentation integrity. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the coordinator will collaborate across various departments to implement and manage engineering changes that align with the company’s mission of delivering high-performance, energy-efficient cooling solutions.


  • Evaluate and prioritize incoming engineering change requests for completeness, feasibility, and impact on BOM and routings.
  • Utilize Arena PLM and NetSuite to create, update, and maintain the Bill of Materials, ensuring alignment with engineering changes.
  • Maintain records of all engineering changes in Arena PLM, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and aligned with NetSuite ERP.
  • Lead the Engineering Change management process from initiation to closure, including routing, approvals, and implementation through Arena PLM and NetSuite ERP.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing, Design, Quality, and Supply Chain departments to coordinate and execute engineering changes.
  • Ensure all changes meet quality specifications and compliance standards and are implemented without disrupting ongoing operations.
  • Leverage data analytics capabilities in Arena PLM and NetSuite ERP to monitor the effectiveness and impact of change implementations, identifying areas for process optimization.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Keep all relevant parties updated on the status, impact, and outcomes of engineering changes.
  • Conduct training sessions to onboard team members on the engineering change management process, BOM, routing, and best practices in Arena PLM and NetSuite ERP.
  • Ensure all engineering changes, BOM, and routings comply with industry regulations and internal company policies.

Who You Are

Basic Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with BOM and routings and Engineering Change Management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, PLM software, and ERP frameworks.
  • Excellent teamwork is required in a cross-functional setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Project Management or Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience with server and server-related technologies.


  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
