Role

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist focuses on providing a consistent supply of world-class components to CoolIT. The role requires excellent attention to detail, understanding of the strategic sourcing process and sound analytics skills. Interpersonal and problem-solving skills commonly used to gather information from different departments to conduct the work required.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic sourcing of material (e.g., parts, components, assemblies) through thorough research, data analysis and working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Action approved sourcing strategies reflecting the needs of the business with alignment to SCM QMS documentation and regulatory framework.
  • Lead supplier negotiations creating and/or renewing supply agreements that deliver value.
  • Active participant in the Supplier Performance Management process including supplier scorecards, cost of poor performance, cost recovery activities.
  • Develop and execute projects to enhance supply chain operations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
  • Understanding and alignment to respective category’s defined strategy (Category Management)
  • Create and manage POs for area of responsibility (i.e., assigned suppliers, categories, subcategories, geographical regions).

Who You Are

Basic Qualifications:

  • Post secondary in Supply Chain Management, Business, and/or Engineering.
  • 4-6 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, supply chain management.
  • Aptitude in understanding technical drawings and specifications.
  • Working experience with a diverse supplier base; apply strategies for supplier integration in defined area of responsibility.

Preferred Qualification

  • Experience working within an engineering, prototype build, NPI and manufacturing environment.
  • Language: Spanish, Mandarin
