Role

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

An exciting and challenging position exists as a Product Manager at CoolIT Systems, reporting to the Director, Product Management (Commercial).

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible to bring together CoolIT’s business objectives, customer & market requirements, and technology & innovation to drive the strategic direction of CoolIT’s Advanced Cooling Product Portfolio for our commercial high performance computing business. You will oversee product lifecycles from ideation through to end-of-life.

Your team embodies the CoolIT Vivid Vision and ensures our continued position as the innovation beacon, authority, and educator to industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee product management of assigned CoolIT commercial categories that may include: coolant distribution units (CDUs), coldplates, components, manifolds, and software.
• Manage strategies for high performance computing, including: identifying gaps & opportunities, incorporating features, technologies & innovations, setting pricing & margin targets, timing product launch dates, etc.
• Engage with customers and data center end-users to identify product needs, gaps and opportunities.
• Work with the internal Advanced Technology and Engineering groups to stay current available innovations and technologies that can be incorporated into CoolIT products.
• Provide guidance and decisions to internal development teams during new product introductions (NPI).
• Work closely with the Business Development and Professional Services teams to ready them for product launches
• Review and control product change management in sustainment and to end-of-life.
• Develop and maintain product training and documentation.
• Manage and monitor product forecasts, inventory, pricing, costs and margins that align with corporate revenue and profitability growth targets.
• Support the Director, Product Management (Commercial) with development and implementation product management tools and processes as required.
• Global travel required up to 25%
  
  

Who You Are

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years combined experience in customer-facing roles for hardware product development and product management.
• Strong understanding of hardware product lifecycle management, including ideation, new product introduction, sustainment, and end-of-life
• Influential and collaborative cross-functional team player with a proven track record of engaging with multi-disciplinary internal and external stakeholders to identify gaps and opportunities, and drive product direction in high growth markets.
• Advanced technical and business degree(s), or equivalent experience
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience in data centers and advanced cooling considered an asset
  
  

Skills

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated high level of initiative, attention to detail and accuracy.
