Role

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

An exciting and challenging position exists as a Technical Sales Engineer at CoolIT Systems. As a trusted customer-facing expert, you will be a key contributor to CoolIT’s continued and aggressive growth, supporting the company’s acquisition of new customers and NPI programs.

As the Technical Sales Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Be the “tip of the spear” as one of our most trusted product and technology advisors, playing a central role in winning new business.
  • Engage customers with information and collateral that demonstrates our position as the innovation beacon, authority, and educator to industry.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in unlocking the next stage of our growth in hyperscale and colocation verticals, while building on our success in the server OEM and desktop all-in-one space.
  • Win NPI opportunities through a deep knowledge of our product, technology and company capabilities. Develop presentations and proposals that impress our customers – 3D CAD renders, analyses, simulations, etc.
  • Advise our customers during early conceptual product planning, comfortably working through ambiguity to provide confident direction while managing our technical and commercial risk.
  • Make our customers excited to reach out to CoolIT for support while planning their liquid-cooling technology programs.
  • Leverage winning templates, systems, processes, and tools that amaze our customers and allow our Business Development team to move exceptionally fast while delivering the best information.
  • Use your expertise to increase attach rate across products lines, including: Coolant Distribution Units, Rack Manifolds, Passive Coldplate Loops, Rear Door Heat Exchangers, Active Coldplate Loops and Software.
  • Represent CoolIT as an industry-leading expert in liquid cooling technology. Participate in industry groups that raise CoolIT’s profile like Open19, OCP, ASHRAE TC9.9 etc.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • International travel (20% or greater).

Who You Are

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in product development.
  • 10+ years experience in data center thermal technologies.
  • 10+ years experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelors degree.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, or equivalent.
  • Passionate about new technologies.
  • A self-motivated individual with a thirst for knowledge that moves fast.
  • Enjoys and contributes to a collaborative culture where nothing is impossible.
  • Believes in being an ethical and good person, always.
