Role

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Reporting to the Director of Product Development, Engineering Manager, Consumer Products will manage a dedicated team of Thermal Mechanical Engineers, Mechanical Engineering Technologists, and Electrical Engineers to develop products, specifically All-in-One Liquid Coolers for the Consumer Electronics industry, by supervising their design activities, defining the strategy of the group, and maintaining the quality of design work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design of Consumer Products from a technical perspective while ensuring adherence to product development processes and project schedules.
• Manage team workload, prioritize, and delegate tasks while bringing a focus to technical knowledge base development, career growth, and performance management of the team members.
• Collaborate and build strong relationships with customers and critical component suppliers to forge a culture of continuous improvement and best-in-class technology.
• Create and manage plans for department budgets, organizational team growth and project execution roadmaps.
• Engage in internal initiatives in conjunction with other departments around continuous improvement, process development, and advanced technology.
  
  

Who You Are

Basic Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in a similar technical field (thermal mechanical engineering, electronics cooling) with time spent as a team leader or manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Strong understanding of thermal & mechanical design, and fluid dynamics concepts and experience with high volume production for consumer electronics products.
• Experience developing electro-mechanical systems, with a good understanding of electrical design (PCBA, cabling, firmware).
• Possess soft skills such as: patience, active listening, organization, communication, empathy, and time management.
• Possess P.Eng designation or similar professional credentials.
